The Low Carb Omega-3 Uplift Bar is specifically formulated to help you nutritionally gain and maintain proper brain health. It can nutritionally help to prevent and combat depression. This bar has been endorsed by Neil Nedley, M.D., expert in brain health and author of the popular book, Depression, the Way Out.

The Low Carb version of the Omega-3 Uplift Bar has over 2,500 mg. of brain boosting Omega-3 from non-fish oil sources that do not have the concentration of pesticides, cancer, and mercury poisoning associated with fish. Like the Original Omega-3 Uplift Bar, it also has the same proportions of nuts and seeds containing the essential brain nutrient Tryptophan, necessary for the brain to produce serotonin, an important neuro-transmitter. It also contains Folic Acid and Vitamin B-12 in the same proportions as the Original. Folic Acid has been shown not only to be an important nutritive factor for proper brain health, but also in helping to prevent Alzheimer's disease. Vitamin B-12 has also proven to be a small but essential component of a healthy brain. These essential nutrients can work together in a synergistic way.

Different from the Original, the Low Carb has only 7 grams net carbs. It also has a delicious alternative flavor, Almond Butternut. With less than 1 gram of sugar per bar it is suitable for diabetics, and with no peanuts it is suitable for people with peanut allergies (Please note: It is made on equipment that also makes the Original, which does contain peanuts). It also boasts over 8 grams of fiber, mostly soluble.
